Patrick began working for a paycheck at the young age of fourteen at the only restaurant in town willing to employ someone that young, Braum’s. He spent three years there before moving on to Fratelli's Wood-Fired Pizzeria, which was owned by Don and Tracie Lurie at the time.
Several years later, he would still remember his time there as his favorite place of employment.
Besides making pizza, he also split the wood used for their pizza oven.
If you want to try his favorite pizza, it was the FratKat. He would substitute prosciutto speck for the prosciutto cotto.
